Our story

For years, Sprouting Knowledge has been the place Kamloops families trusted with their kids. Children got muddy, climbed things they probably shouldn't have, and learned what it feels like to be genuinely capable in the world.

That program and those values are not going anywhere. What is changing is the scale of what we are building around them.

Sprouting Knowledge is joining forces with Adventuring Into Life, Kamloops' outdoor adventure company for youth and women, to become Adventuring Into Knowledge Nature School. The philosophy stays. The ambition gets bigger.

We are building something for the full range of children who deserve time outside, not just the ones who happen to find us. Rooted in the belief that the wild is where capable kids are made.

The forest has always been the classroom. We're just finally building the school around it.

Oaks & Acorns

For children who aren't quite ready to head out on their own. Parents and kids explore MacArthur Island Park together, side by side, building confidence and comfort in the natural world at their own pace.

Preschool-Age Outdoor Program

Half days in the forest at MacArthur Island Park. Child-led, all-weather, and built around real freedom to explore. This is what Sprouting Knowledge families loved and what AIK is continuing to grow.

Kindergarten Outdoor Program

Outdoor programming built specifically for kindergarten-age kids. Less structured than a classroom, more intentional than free play. The age where children are ready for more and the forest has exactly that to offer.

Adventuring Into Knowledge is built on one thing: the belief that kids who spend real time outside become more capable, more confident, and more connected to the world around them. That belief drives every decision we make.

Nature education has historically been expensive, hard to find, or simply not available. We are working to change that in Kamloops, and eventually beyond it.
