Adventuring Into Knowledge Nature School

Nature builds what classrooms can't.

The outdoor education program you've trusted in Kamloops is growing. Same values, same forest, something bigger and more exciting on the way.

Formerly Sprouting Knowledge  ·  Now joining the Adventuring Into Life family  ·  Something bigger is coming.

Our story

You know us.
We're growing.

For years, Sprouting Knowledge has been Kamloops families' trusted place for outdoor, nature-based learning. Children have grown, explored, and thrived in Peterson Creek — in every season, in every kind of weather, exactly the way childhood should be.

That program, those values, and that deep love for children learning wild is not going anywhere. What is changing is the scale of what we're building around it.

Sprouting Knowledge is joining forces with Adventuring Into Life — Kamloops' outdoor adventure company for youth and women — to become Adventuring Into Knowledge Nature School. Same forest. Same philosophy. A much bigger vision.

We are building a nature school that doesn't just serve preschoolers in a park. We're building something that works with distance learners, homeschool families, and school communities across the region. A non-profit rooted in the belief that the wild is where capable kids are made.

"

The forest has always been the classroom. We're just finally building the school around it.

What carries forward

✓ Peterson Creek — the forest classroom that families love
✓ Forest Schools Ethos and 8 Shields principles
✓ Child-led learning with low educator-to-child ratios
✓ All-weather, all-season outdoor programming
✓ A deep commitment to this land and its people

What we're building

A nature school for every learner.

Adventuring Into Knowledge is being built for the full range of children and families who deserve outdoor, nature-rich education — not just the lucky ones who happen to live near a forest preschool.

Expanding

Our commitment

Built for children,
not profit.

Adventuring Into Knowledge is being structured as a non-profit society. That means every dollar that comes into the organization goes back into programming, staffing, and expanding access for children and families who need it most.

We believe nature education shouldn't be a luxury. Our goal is to build a sustainable, community-supported model that makes outdoor learning accessible regardless of family income, school system, or geography.

That takes a community. Sponsors, donors, and organizational partners are essential to building this — and we'd love to talk to you about what that could look like.

Our model

Non-profit society — programming over profit, always

Our mission

Make nature-based education accessible to every child in Kamloops and beyond

Our roots

Built on years of Sprouting Knowledge — a trusted, loved community program
